New Observer Introduction - Potential New Observer candidates only

Bikes will be required - weather permitting

A class room session will be held in the morning followed by ride outs.

This is being held at the Brittania for a 10:00 start.

Associates Ride Out.

This is open to all members.

A run up the Northumberland coast on some familiar roads to Alnwick and Belford, then some less familiar roads over to Ford Castle and Wooler, finishing at Swarland community centre for tea and cake and a short talk by local historian Vera Vaggs on Lord Nelson's links with Swarland!

About 120 miles finishing for 3.30pm.

6:30pm start.

Slow but steady - designed for associates but open to all, a relaxed environment for having a chat and riding at a snails pace.

Please note that this is a rather long and demanding route. We will take in Hartside pass and all six major Lakeland passes. The distances may look small but the riding will be slow at times, with some very steep and rough roads. We will therefore have a long day in the saddle, so please be prepared for this if you join us.

13 August (Saturday) Mike Briant Albermarle Barracks

The return of the enjoyable skills days, do silly stuff, realise it wont harm you, go back for more, enhance your abilities

The second Skills Day will take place at Albemarle Barracks (NE15 0RF) between 1000-1300hrs (ish) on Sat 13 Aug.

Stands will cover slow riding, braking and incident management and run by the NAM Training Team.

Qualified or training observers are more than welcome and encouraged to assist on the day - please respond to mikebriant@hotmail.com if interested.

Please arrive at the barracks no later than 0945hrs and wait at the front gate to be escorted to the activity area.

Morning coffee on a paddle steamer, lunch and a cup of tea by a steam railway, return home via the North York Dales, about 130 miles.

16 October Leaving Seaton Burn at 9:30 Ian Du Rose

Senior Ride Out.

In the early stages of planning but it will hopefully be a run up to St. Mary's Loch for lunch at the Glen Cafe.

Please note that this ride is planned to leave Seaton Burn at 9.30 not 10.00
